ART DIRECTOR NINA ZIVKOVIC ACCEPTED INTO LA ROCHE UNIVERSITY ADVISORY BOARD
Nina was invited to La Roche University on March 22, 2019 to judge the annual Positive Space Art Show for the Interior and Graphic design students along with Chuck Beard, Art Director at Pittsburgh Magazine, and Larry Levine, Creative Director + Experience Co-Lead at Celerity. It was a fantastic experience where she was able to learn more about the University and the amazing group of up and coming students.
Afterward, Nina was encouraged to apply by faculty to be a potential Board Member on the first-ever La Roche Graphic Design Advisory Board – joining with their current Interior Design Advisory Board. After a few months waiting period, Nina was accepted as a new Board Member!
Nina is excited to be a part of the Design Advisory Board at La Roche, and is looking forward to joining a specialized committee within the board.
Her fellow board members have impressive resumes as well with positions at companies like LGA Partners, UPMC Health Plan, Avon Graf Architects, Spectra Development, CGI, Next Architecture, Koroseal Interior Products, Innovative Systems, Office Furniture Warehouse, Fine Humans, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Studio ID, and, of course, ocreations.
The La Roche Design Advisory Board recently held its annual Mentor Mixer event where students are grouped together and get to spend time with a mentor. It is set up like “speed dating” where students have the opportunity to ask for advice, hear about experiences and more. Nina participated as one of the mentors and had a wonderful time talking with the students and helping them navigate their college and career paths. After the Mixer, each student will be paired up with a Mentor to continue their mentorship. We love how the La Roche Design Board continues to help students grow both within the school and outside.
Nina is also excited to participate in the 17th annual Design Dialogue, held on Tuesday, October 29th at the Pittsburgh Opera House. She is working alongside fellow board members to promote the event with sponsorships, gift baskets for the raffle to be held at the event, and ticket sales, all to raise money for donations and support the Design Division. The Design Dialogue is the only fundraising opportunity of the year for the Board to help raise money for the Interior and Graphic Design student scholarships and varied educational activities as well.
